0 Is HIjab Compulsory.

One of the verses in Quran that protects the rights of women is Verse 59 of Surah A1Ahzaab reads: "O Prophet! T'ell thy wives and daughters and the believing women, that they should cast their outer garments over their persons (when outside) : so that they should be known (as such) and not molested".

According to above verse why Quran says to wear outer garment for women is, so they are differentiated from street walker who are indulged in the sexual harassment and for them its occupation. This is how when a Muslim women goes out wearing outer garments, looking different from others and considered as a “Believing” women.

Older women who are passed the prospect of marriage are not strictly said to perform wearing outer garments while they go out, "Such elderly women as are past the prospect of marriage, there is no blame on them if they lay aside their (outer) garments, provided they make not wanton display of their beauty; but it is best for them to be modest; and Allah is One Who sees and knows all things". (24:60).

Quran doesn’t restrict women to wear veil, instead Quran allows the women to be a part of this world, Quran is insistent on the full participation of women in society to work like men and also in the religious practices.

To wear hijab is not compulsory on women in fact it is an innovation created by the men who are satisfied from their own and having lack of trust. Most of the persons are confused that the HIjab is compulsory or not, in fact not. Quran Teaching is the best source of religious and moral guideline for everyone. If anyone is missing something or confused in such matters must read Quran carefully.
